ARC Scotland, the Association for Real Change, supports providers of services to people with a learning disability. Their vision is to achieve excellence through diversity of provision for people with a learning disability.
They achieve that vision by:
- Promoting best practice in services
- Providing information and support to members
- Representing issues of relevance to members at a local and where required national level
The services they offer include:
- SVQ Assessment Centre
- Specialist Learning Disability Training
- Conferences and seminars
- On going support of local networks of providers e.g. Borders, Highland and Argyll and Bute
- Development of new networks
- National Involvement Network
- Quarterly newsletters
- Undertake projects and research concerned with developing good practice e.g. Banking Matters
ARC Scotland is a member of the Scottish Consortium for Learning Disability.
ARC Scotland is a member of the Learning Disability Alliance Scotland.
