It does this by working with people with learning disabilities, their families and the people who support them.

It carries out research, promotes the rights of people with learning disabilities, improve services and spreads knowledge and information.

It provides a range of information on learning disabilities, a daily news service and directories of organisations, websites and events. Website visitors can ask questions and share ideas through our online forums, join the mailing list and find out how to support the organisation.

The Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities is part of the Mental Health Foundation, a national charity, and operates as a directorate within the charity.
